OmA and the Atelier des Métier d‘Art de France
Meeting between OmA and the French Ministry of Culture and Communication
Thursday, May 15th, 2008, on the occasion of the OmA International Congress on museum education, a meeting was held with OmA’s Scientific Committee, presided over by Prof. Giampiero Maracchi and Monsieur Bernard Micaud, the French Consul, director of the French Institute in Florence (www.istitutofrancese.it) and Madame Geneviève Ravaux (Secrétaire générale du conseil des métiers d'art and responsible for la mission des métiers d'art for the French Ministry of Culture and Communication). Among the themes discussed were the importance of organizing concrete interventions to foster and promote artistic crafts at a European level, concerning the support, protection and innovation of artistic crafts between our institution and the maitres d’art de France.
