The Master Course in Tailoring of the DREAM project has been completed
The Florentine part of the European project, DREAM (Design Recherche Europe Art Métiers) has finished today, January 26th, with the participation of 10 aspiring designers and dressmakers from 5 European countries.

Paolo Penko meets New York University Students Studying in Florence
On October 26, New York University in Florence, in collaboration with the Osservatorio Mestieri d’Arte, hosted a workshop dedicated to the art of goldsmithing in the Florentine tradition. The workshop highlighted the creations of the 21st century artist and master goldsmith, Paolo Penko.

OmA for European Study Days on Artistic Crafts
The Osservatorio dei Mestieri d'Arte participated in the European Study Days on the Artistic Crafts, scheduled from 16th to 19th October, 2008, with a series of initiatives to bring to international attention the singularities of Florentine handicraft.
Florence Technology Workshop, May 27, 2008
OmA participated in the workshop organized by Paolo Martinez “Culture and Tourism: digital challenges and values for the future”. The proposal for discussion launched by OmA was: create the network of public and private subjects through contacts and comparison. Place the projects and know-how online, starting with sharing one’s projects and plans.

On April 16, 2008 at the Palazzo Incontri, OmA organized a meeting with the directors of the Florentine museums to invite them to take part in an international conference on May 16th.
Knowledge Craft Café
Saturday, November 24, 2007 the Osservatorio dei Mestieri d’Arte organized a workshop called “Knowledge Craft Café” with the objective of discussing concrete proposals for the following year’s activity in order to strengthen the network of collaboration.
